Program Overview:
“Sustainable Water Management under Pressure in Ethiopia” (SWAMP) is a University-Business partnership
Project between higher education institutions and business partners in Germany and Ethiopia. It is part of the special initiative of training and job creation funded by the German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD), with funds from the federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
Our postgraduate degree program in Hydrology and Sustainable Water resource Management will offer a
comprehensive and interdisciplinary curriculum designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle complex water challenges. With a strong focus on hydrological processes, sustainable practices, and
integrated water resource management, our program prepares students to become future leaders in the field.
Through a combination of theoretical coursework, practical fieldwork, and hands-on research projects, students gain a deep understanding of hydrological systems, learn to analyze and model water resources, analyses flood and drought, and develop innovative solutions for sustainable water management. With faculty experts, advanced
facilities, and collaborations with industry partners, our program provides an immersive learning experience that
empowers students to make a meaningful impact on the world’s water challenges.
